PATyT's Print double-sided tape with PVC carrier is designed for applications that require precise, clean and reliable bonding in graphic and industrial processes. Made with solvent-based rubber adhesive, this Print adhesive tape provides a secure and stable bond, specially developed for flexographic printing applications and high-precision technical processes.
Print double-sided tape is available in different thicknesses, 100 µm, 200 µm and 300 µm, so the solution can be adapted to each specific need. Thickness directly affects cushioning capacity, adhesion level and conformability to irregular surfaces, offering different alternatives for photopolymer mounting processes and professional printing applications.
In applications requiring fine, precise bonding, the 100 µm version allows more direct contact between surfaces, making it especially suitable as a printing tape in processes with minimal tolerance. The 200 µm version provides a balance between adhesion and conformability, facilitating mounting tape applications where small irregularities need to be compensated.
For more demanding applications, the 300 µm Print double-sided tape provides greater cushioning and conformability. Success story: Print Double-Sided PVC Tape
Marc, production manager at a company specialising in flexographic label printing, contacted ATyT because they needed to improve their photopolymer mounting process. They were looking for a solution that would make it easier to position the plates on the cylinders and, above all, reduce the appearance of air bubbles during mounting.
After analysing the application, ATyT recommended the 200 µm Print double-sided PVC tape. Its semi-rigid PVC carrier provides dimensional stability while maintaining the flexibility needed to make photopolymer mounting on the cylinder easier.
During the first trials, the embossed PVC liner helped release air while positioning the plate, helping to prevent bubbles from forming. In addition, the solvent-based rubber adhesive provided a reliable, removable bond between the mounting elements, allowing the tape to be removed from the cylinder afterwards without leaving adhesive residue.
After validating the results, the company adopted Print adhesive tape for its regular flexographic printing work, achieving a simpler, more controlled mounting process for its printing plates.
